Never quit

Never Quit

Nearly every man who develops an idea works at it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then gets discouraged.
Thomas Edison, of course, is famous for having never quit when things looked impossible.  When inventing the first commercially practical light bulb, he ran thousands and thousands of experiments before he created a light bulb then would burn for a long period of time.
Edison didn’t invent the first light bulb. The incandescent lamp had already been invented.  What he did was create a version that was commercially practical. Cheap enough to produce and sell en mass, and burned long enough that people would have use for it.
Again, he tried thousands and thousands of ideas before he found one that worked. His team of inventors and assistants certainly got discouraged and doubtful, but not him. Everyone working with him had the knowledge and ability to create that same invention, but what it came down to was will and perseveranceRefusing to quit.
The First Thing That Stood Out About The Quote Was…
Two things: When things look impossible, that’s the precise moment that you have to force yourself to continue forward.  That’s the moment where progress and advancement is made.  That ‘wall’ is simply the box or boundaries that you have lived within.
I admire Edison’s ability to keep moving forward in the darkness, so to speak.  He was acutely aware that he could not know everything in any specific moment. He was aware that the only way to learn, grow, and tap his potential was one step at a time.
You may not be able to see it all at once, but if you have faith and keep moving forward, it will reveal itself to you.
And The Second Thing About The Quote…
The other fact is that he didn’t do it alone. He had a team of inventors and scientist. Most likely they were brilliant people, like himself. They all were perfectly capable of eventually creating what he did. It was Edison’s determination and refusal to quit.  His insistence to continue moving forward even though he had no idea how far he would have to walk in the dark.
It is that persistence & stubbornness which differentiated Edison fro

Confidence and the Courage

Confidence and courage go hand in hand. Lack of confidence compromises & envelops real potential of a person. Courage is the ability and willingness to confront fear, pain, danger & any uncertain situation which hampers realization of goals and dreams.
Lack of confidence has to do lot with conditioning. In many ways our society teaches us to doubt ourselves. It’s all part of the conditioning process that is designed to make us dependent rather than independent.
Taking action is one of the most effective ways to conquer any feeling which causes doubt.  Everyone carries something unique to count. Most of the time we are bothered about external factors which may undervalue one’s abilities. When one drifts in our concentration & focus, confidence is bound to crumble. Everybody requires some validation; people start falling on friends, relatives & neighbors depending upon the conditions.
From Henry Ford to Bill Gates, those with the confidence and courage to follow through on their dreams have been honored. Famous people who are remembered by the world even if faltered initially, corrected themselves immediately & got out of the wood by understanding the spirits of confidence.
We all  know that Thomas Edison, Walt Disney, and Albert Einstein didn't do well in school. These are famous, highly honored individuals who had the courage to follow their creative dreams regardless of popular opinion, even in the face of ridicule. They mustered up the courage to take action and overcome self-doubt.
What can we learn from this?
It’s perfectly normal to harbor feelings of self-doubt considering how most of us were raised. These feelings can be overcome, and taking action toward your dreams is a big step in the right direction. You need to believe that there is something wonderfully unique and valuable about you and your creative abilities. You also need to recognize that it will take some courage to prove that to yourself. If you have the courage to take action, confidence follows.

It Makes a difference

It Makes a difference

There was a man taking a morning walk at or the beach. He

saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of

starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind

and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide

was fresh and the starfish were alive. The man took a few

steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that

repeatedly. Right behind him there was another person

who couldn't understand what this man was doing. He

caught up with him and asked, "What are you doing? There

are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What

difference does it make?" This man did not reply, took

two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the

water, and said,

"It makes a difference to this one."

Wait minute

Wait a minute

What happened to 8 wealthiest people in the world?

“In 1923, eight of the wealthiest people in the world met. Their combined wealth, estimated, exceeded the wealth of the government of the United States. These men knew how to make a
living and accumulate wealth. 25 years later.
1. President of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died bankrupt.

2. President of the largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.

3. One of the greatest commodity traders, Arthur Cutton, died insolvent.

4. President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.

5. A member of the President’s Cabinet, Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail.

6. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jessie Livermore, committed suicide.

7. President of the world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed suicide.

8. President, Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed suicide.

They forgot to make a
life! Just made Money!

Money provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for the needy, but is only a medium of exchange.

We need two kinds of education.
One that teaches us how to make a living and one that teaches us how to live.
People are engrossed in their professional life and neglect their family, health and social responsibilities.

Our kids are sleeping when we leave home.
They are sleeping when we come home.
Twenty years later, we’ll turn back, and they’ll all be gone !!!!!.

Without water, a ship cannot move.
The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face problems and sink.

Similarly we live in a
time where earning is a necessity but let not the earning enter our hearts, for what was once a means of living will be become a means of destruction.

So take a moment and ask yourself….has the water entered my ship?”

restrain

Restraint is the key
Practical hints to Growing children
We often come across rebellious children crisscrossing ways with their parents while they grow in their age thinking they have discovered the whole vista of knowledge. They feel that without restrictions, they could achieve much more; the constant nagging of parents presents only stumbling block in their ways though they are yet to discover what the ways are & why they are.
Wilful behaviour though initially gives some superficial measures of happiness however in the long run; it proves to be deleterious pill. Living beings & discipline (code & rules) ought to move together. Human being highest in order naturally ought to be in higher class of discipline.
Free will is re enacting of unconscious habits. On being angry on someone, one tends to say things without measure which causes frustration & anxiety which is avoidable & regretful. Wisdom of restraint is an art we are generally stripped of in fast paced self oriented & closed world. With restrain, we can only see re-enactment & replay of predictable behaviour pattern which is self driven. Without restraint; we give up & become pawn in hands of others. With restrain, there is window of opportunity. Much to the contrary, the restrain causes freedom from our self sabotaging habits & fear based patterns. The day edifice of habits start collapsing; our enlightenment & evolution commences.
a.       Decide first the intention to break the habit pattern with sincerity. Pattern may be nail biting, eating poorly, arguing too great length, smoking etc.
b.      When you notice the emergence of habit pattern, pause, take breath, step away from the pattern.
c.       Congratulate yourself fro breaking the habit pattern.
When one begins to dismantle the habits, it may not happen immediately; continue without break or disappointment. Come out more strongly against shameless habits  as they are enemies from within which carries potential to rot in extremely ugly form.

Change

Change is the most essential part in LIFE—

YOU MUST ACCEPT IT.

Many years ago, some scientists did a simple experiment on a bullfrog. They threw a bullfrog into a container of boiling water, and the bullfrog instantly popped out of the boiling water. Next, they put the bullfrog into a container of cold water. The bullfrog liked it and stayed in the container. The scientists then turned on the heat at the bottom of the container. As the water got warmer, the bullfrog relaxed and took a nap. The bullfrog was so comfortable that it stayed in the container and was “cooked”.
Most of us are in the “comfort zone”.
All of us have a house to go home, a nice bed to sleep on, food in the fridge, a group of friends to mingle with, along with some basic necessities of LIFE. We really have worked hard to get to where we are now.
Most of us are like bullfrog.

Because we feel warm and comfortable, we refuse to get out of our comfort zone, and prefer to stay where we are. In LIFE, we are either creating or disintegrating.
There is no such thing as “staying where we are”, because there is always movement. So if we are not moving ahead in LIFE, we must by nature, be moving in the opposite direction.
"It is inevitable that some defeat will enter even  in the most victorious LIFE. The human spirit is never finished when it is defeated... it is finished when it surrenders."

Do not ever feel defeated, as it is temporary. Do not surrender, Find the way out, if necessary, change your belief system, learn something new. Most importantly read the Good Thoughts required for LIFE and inculcate / implement in you and your family.

Positive Thought

Thought -1

Positive Thought

1.    The strength of positive thought is 100 times more than negative thought. One of the ways to easily change your thought process or pattern is by being aware of how you feel.

2.    Our thoughts create our feelings. When we feel negative; angry, resentful, jealous that is the trigger for you to decide to change. That is the time you choose positive statement, “All is well in my world.” The attempt to associate with this thought is to be done on repeated basis. As soon as the negative thought is about to swamp you, you make a pause & let the positive thought do its needful influence on your thinking process. Remember the positive will attract positive.

3.    Thoughts are energy. Choose to think positively & be responsible for your happiness.
